With no current capacity in the region, the plant will
meet the needs of the core market of Eastern India - states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand,
Orissa and East UP. In doing so, it will reduce the region's reliance
on imports, save foreign exchange and reduce government
subsidy costs.
A strong distribution network will deliver product to farmers in a cost effective and timely manner. It will improve agricultural productivity in the region, create direct and indirect employment and increase the farmer's income. The project will become a lifeline to Eastern India.
