Among India’s fastest-growing fertiliser companies, Matix has designed its plant to meet the growing need of farmers for quality crop nutrients in the eastern and northern regions of India.

The fully integrated 1.27 MTPA, gas-based urea plant enjoys a place of pride as India’s largest single-stream fertiliser facility and is operating at above 100% capacity.

The plant is strategically located near Durgapur at Panagarh Industrial Park, West Bengal, in the heart of eastern India with easy access to road, rail, port, and air access to all key markets in the region and other areas.

The company has a long-term gas supply agreement with GAIL, India’s largest gas supply company. Matix is classified as a green-field project under the Government of India’s New Investment Policy 2012 for urea.

Matix has acquired technology from globally reputed international partners—KBR, USA, for ammonia and Saipem, Italy, for urea, among other partners who provided critical support.
